You want to make sales. In fact, that’s what drives most businesses to success; they make sales. So what’s stopping you from doing the same thing? Sometimes the answer is something that can be fixed with some self-pumping: confidence. Confidence is one of the number one things that sells people on you and your products or services, and it will make even the most self-reliant company owners see the usefulness in what you’re offering them. Here are two tips on how to look confident, even in moments where you may not feel confident.
Smile Big
No matter how ugly you think your teeth are, smile. Confident people aren’t afraid to show off their teeth, and if you really feel that insecure about it, get a whitening kit and make them beautiful again. Braces can fix even the most horrid of crooked teeth, so there’s always an option for you if you’re not confident about your smile for a reason. Otherwise, smile. Everyone wants to see your pearly whites. Don’t forget to laugh freely as well, especially if your client is funny or charming in some way.
Prepare Well
One of the best things you can do for your confidence is prepare, and prepare well. This is even a fairly easy thing to accomplish, but it won’t happen unless you put effort into it. Remember that preparedness scales; the bigger the group, the more prepared you will need to be. Practice your speech inside and out, and prepare for the small technology disasters that could possibly destroy all that you’ve worked hard for. Practice it until you know what you’re going to say no matter if you lose your notecards or not, and you’ll have the confidence to electrify any room with positive energy.
