So your company lost money this quarter, and you’re biting your nails over it. It’s okay to deliver that bad news. Even if you might upset some of your investors, you have to be brave and honest about what’s going on underneath all of the show of your company. It’s going to be difficult, no doubt. But you have to do it. If you don’t, it’s unlikely that it’ll stay quiet forever, and telling someone that something bad is happening is much better than having someone else tell them when you aren’t paying any attention.
Face Your Opposition with Head High
People are going to talk smack. That’s completely normal when it comes to owning a business of your own. You can face this, and you can survive it, especially if you just keep pushing forward through what they have to say. If they have good things to say, pay enough attention to actually see if what they have to say is legitimate. If it isn’t, move on, and forget all about what they had to say. Just keep striving forward, and let your courage outweigh your humility and ego.
