Count Your Blessings
Don’t take anything for granted. Right before you go to sleep, think about all of the things you are blessed with. Maybe you didn’t have a good day, and maybe there are some mistakes that are going to need to be corrected tomorrow. But take a moment to quit worrying about all the things you can’t change and think about all of the wonderful things you do have.
Don’t Gossip
If you start to join in the gossip chains that are likely running through your office, you’ll probably be unsurprised to hear some gossip about yourself. But that isn’t your job, and it doesn’t matter what they have to say about you. What matters is that you’re there to encourage people, offer guidance, and a shoulder to cry on when someone’s in need. Don’t worry about what’s going on around the office; it’s just drama, and what they’re saying are just words.
Don’t Mind Those Things You Can’t Control
It’s extremely difficult to step back and stop worrying about all of those things you want to worry about. And some of us have the inability to step back from a situation we want to control, even when we have no ability to do so. However, you can't control anyone’s actions but your own. The next time someone throws a bottle into the trash, instead of worrying about what they just did, invest in some recycling trashcans and put them in the office instead.
